There has been squash played at Stowmarket since the arrival of the Sports Centre in the early Seventies, now known as the Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre (MSLC). Initially with two courts, a club was formed with internal leagues being run by the MSLC.

The first Club Championships were held in 1977 with Brian Hicks becoming Stowmarket's first Club Champion. Two more courts were added in the early Eighties. The club then formed a committee independent of the MSLC to run its own internal leagues and to endeavour to provide some social activities.

TEAMS & LEAGUES

The club has always managed to run women and men's teams in the Suffolk and Border Leagues, winning every division apart from Division One. An internal league runs throughout the year with occasional tournaments also taking place.
